Scan Core S.A provides specialist Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) concrete scanning and concrete testing for commercial, industrial, civil and residential projects. Using the Proceq GP8000 Pro, we investigate concrete structures before drilling, cutting, modifying or assessing them.
Owner-operated by Shane Andresen, with more than 30 years of experience working with concrete structures and over 10 years specialising in GPR structural scanning.
GPR Concrete Scanning
Reinforcement mapping, bar depth and spacing, post-tension identification, slab thickness, suspended slabs, Bondek, walls, beams, columns, footings and structural elements.
Concrete Testing
Schmidt Rebound Hammer testing for indicative concrete strength assessment and CMM surface moisture testing for concrete condition and flooring investigations.
Structural Investigation
Investigation of reinforcement configuration, concrete cover, multiple reinforcing layers, voids, anomalies, delamination indications and unknown structural conditions.
Proceq GP8000 Pro
The GP8000 Pro provides advanced multi-frequency GPR imaging for detailed investigation of concrete structures. Scan data is viewed wirelessly on an iPad, allowing results to be interpreted and marked out directly on site.
Typical applications include reinforcement mapping, post-tension location, concrete cover, slab depth and investigation of structural features.

One of Scan Core’s major points of difference is detailed image reporting. Scanning projects can include a professional PDF report providing a permanent record of the investigation for engineers, contractors and clients.
